Beijing Snack Food
We really like jiaozi, jianbing and lüdagun, a red bean sauce rolled up in sticky rice dough. It’s cold and sweet.

Place for Weekend Fun
The kids love Chaoyang Park because it has everything they want – outdoor and indoor play, swimming in summer, ice skating in winter and great restaurants nearby for lunch. The park also holds international festivals that are great fun.

Outdoor Play Space
The kids really like to play around our building. They ride their bikes, run around in the garden and play tennis.

Birthday Celebration
We go to a restaurant, then to Beijing Star Trooper (laser tag!), Happy Valley or Sony ExploraScience.

Place to Bring Friends from Home
We go shopping at The Place or Shin Kong Place because it’s clean, relaxed and not as crowded as other places.

Kid’s Clothing Shop/market
Some of the shops in Lido Place offer high quality children’s clothing at a decent price, especially at sale time.

Lazy Sunday Activity
We love to sleep in, stroll in the gardens around our apartment or go to the Bookworm to read a book and have coffee.

When We’re Feeling Homesick
We go shopping at Jenny Lou’s, have ice cream at Baskin Robbins or eat at T.G.I. Friday’s. Jenny Lou’s has the food the kids loved to eat from the States.
