AmCham Independence Day Celebration
The entire AmCham community enjoyed the food, sun and fun at the annual AmCham-China Independence Day celebration. Festivities were held at Ch’ien Men 23 and drew over 1,000 attendees. beijingkids was on duty providing face painting and (temporary) tattoos for the kids.
YCIS Students Receive Top Marks for IGCSE
Four students from Yew Chung International School Beijing received Brilliance awards from the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) for outstanding marks in the June 2008 IGCSE examinations. Those students are: Michelle Chung from Malaysia, Clara Wai-Yan Leung from Australia, Alexander Li from the US, and Clarice Lee from Korea. Congratulations to the entire 2009 graduating class!
Etonkids Graduation
Beijing’s littlest graduates took to the stage this July as Etonkids celebrated another successful school year. Teachers and parents cheered on the students as they sang songs, performed dances and showed off their graduation caps.
Harrow Harvest First Crop & Raise Money for Charity
On Jun 25, the Harrow School Farm Club proudly harvested their first crop of cucumbers. On Jun 29 and 30, Harrow International School Beijing gathered for House Days. The year’s winning House was Churchill House, which made the largest contribution overall to it’s charity, Agape Family Life House.
CISB Graduating Class of 2008/2009
On Jun 18 CISB held their first Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony. Graduates were presented with diplomas and awards. Guest speakers at the ceremony included Board Chairman, Dr. Francis Pang; Principal, Ms. Carolyn Norman and Executive Director of NB Department of Education, Ms. Dawn Weatherbie.
