Making Mooncakes and National Day at WAB
In celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival, students from WAB’s early childhood center and elementary school made mooncakes. In September, WAB commemorated National Day with a whole school celebratory assembly. Music and dance performances were highlights of the event honoring the 60th anniversary of the PRC.

Etonkids Family Fair
On Oct 17, families from across Beijing enjoyed a wonderful day outside at Etonkids’ “My Little City” family fair with traditional Chinese music and dance performance from CNethnic.

Spirit Day and DEAR Day at YCIS
For Spirit Day, students and teachers dressed in their house colors and showed off their pride and enthusiasm with fun games. On Oct 9, YCIS celebrated Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) day where every student and teacher had to drop everything and read. YCIS is also pleased to announce that five students received awards for having the highest mark in China in individual subjects in the June 2009 IGCSE exams.

Dulwich Senior School China Week
This September, all students in Years 7 to 11 embarked upon four- or five-day trips in their year groups to various parts of China – including the Great Wall, Mount Taishan, Henan and Yangshuo. Year 12 and 13 students undertook a week of work in various local service-oriented projects and one project in Inner Mongolia as part of their CAS commitment in the IB Diploma Programme.

CISB Grade 2 Harvest
As part of their “You and Your World” unit on growth and change, students experienced farming firsthand at the Yangzhe Farm on Oct 13. They met with local farmers and had the opportunity to harvest fruits and vegetables. They picked pears and dug for yams.

Sleepy Hollow at Beijing Playhouse
The Beijing Playhouse Kids Theater Camp staged the Legend of Sleepy Hollow on Oct 10. Enrollment/auditions for the next kids theater camp (in Dec) will be held on Sunday, Nov 29 at 2pm.

3e World Party
On Sep 26, 3e celebrated its fourth annual Families around the World party. Families shared treats, activities and information about their home countries. Over 20 nations were represented. 

Harrow Fair and Balloon Peace Celebration
On Sep 19, students, parents, staff and friends of Harrow came together to contribute to and enjoy the Harrow International School Beijing Autumn Fair.  There were plenty of fun games run by students, delicious food made byparents, and exciting stalls run by staff. On Oct 9, at the Upper School of Harrow International School Beijing, 700 balloons were launched to celebrate International Peace Day.
