Dulwich Year 6 Students Bring Hope
On March 30, Dulwich Year 6 students visited The New Hope Foundation in Shunyi. The Foundation was established in 2000, and cares for sick and physically challenged babies who have been abandoned. Upon arrival, the students were greeted by Robin Hill, who founded New Hope with his wife, Joyce Hill. The students spent the day meeting and playing with the children. The students raised money during World Math Day in March and decided to use the funds to purchase educational toys for New Hope.

KinStar International Bilingual School Keeps Growing
KinStar recently added two more buildings to its growing campus. In the fall of 2011, the middle school will move to a new building in order to better meet middle school needs, as well as accommodate for increased enrollment. The new middle school building will boast a number of additions for the coming school year. Each core classroom will be equipped with SmartBoards, document cameras and projectors. Other additions include a brand-new science lab, a new library and wireless internet for student and parent access. The new building will also house drama, IT, and music rooms specifically for middle school classes. On top of all these upgrades will be a new, and healthy, lunch catering service  for middle school students.

Prenatal Massage at The Peninsula
The Peninsula Spa now offers prenatal massages to soothe away the aches and pains of pregnancy. The mommy-to-be package also includes a mini facial and scalp treatment. Products used don’t contain essential oils, which can be bad for the baby. The spa is equipped with showers, a relaxation room and sauna for a complete indulgent experience. One mom who tried it added that the staff are very informative (though predominantly Chinese-speaking). Worth noting is that the massage is done while seated, as opposed to lying on a table.
