This upscale Taiwanese dim sum chain has a global reputation. Kids will love the steamed mini pork soup xiaolongbao (RMB 65 for a basket of 20) or steamed shrimp and pork dumplings (RMB 45 for 10). Watch out for the piping hot soup inside! The Shin Kong location allows diners to watch the chefs at work through a glass pane.

“Good food doesn’t always have to be complicated or expensive,” says Hengshan Café Group Chairman Michael Leung.
