Since Cuccina first opened its doors in 2011, the retailer has established itself as the go-to place for high-quality imported kitchenware. At its original location in Gongti, the store sold everything from enameled cookware to electric mixers to a thankful (albeit mostly expat) clientele.
In December 2012, Cuccina expanded to the Dashanzi area with a second branch at Indigo Mall. The new store offers the same brands as the original (Delonghi, Le Creuset, Galic, Kitchenaid, Kenwood, Brita, and more) while bringing in products that are geared more towards Chinese cooking. These include BK Cookware’s scoop-shaped Wokarang wok for minimal spillage (RMB 2,062), and TV chef and food writer Chin-He Huang’s line of pots and pans created with UK tableware maker Typhoon. Families will find plenty to love in Cuccina’s extensive collection of silicone and non-stick metal baking molds, Le Creuset fondue sets (RMB 951-1,325), plastic popsicle molds (RMB 28), Brita and Laica water filters (RMB 460-525), and Kitchenaid pasta cutters (RMB 4,790). Customers can also sign up for Cuccina’s newsletter to learn about free, in-store family-friendly workshops and events.
