There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s doggy, Sunny, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Name: Hi Everyone! I am Sunny!
Background: I was a rescued stray and have been cared for by my foster mom, Jerri Lan, for the past year. I am currently living at a nice shelter and Jerri visits me every weekend and looks after me, providing good food and veterinary care.
Personality: I am sensitive and shy but I trust and love people who are taking care of me and I enjoy playing games! Once you spend time with me and I get over my initial shyness, you will find I am a very loving, sweet boy!
Ideal home: My ideal family would be a single person or a couple with a flexible schedule and can be home a lot or a family with older children (e.g., 10-years and older) that are experienced dog owners!
Breed: Small Pomeranian mixed breed dog
Dog registration and Licensing: Small dog that may be licensed in any district in Beijing.
Sex & Age: Male, about 6-years old.
Medical notes: Already neutered and vaccinated and in fairly good health. I have a mild heart condition but this does not affect my daily life or my ability to be a loving and loyal companion. When I am due for vaccinations, the International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) will provide my new family with a “10-YEAR PET VACCINATION GIFT CERTIFICATE” so all of my rabies and canine distemper vaccinations are FREE for the next decade!
Aftercare: Sunny is eligible for the Rescued/Stray/Rehomed Pets Adoption Benefits Program at ICVS. The adoption family will receive significant discounts of up to 50% on examinations and FREE rabies and canine distemper vaccinations with the “10-Year Pet Vaccination Gift Certificate” from ICVS.
