There are hundreds of animals hoping to find loving homes in Beijing. If you are considering adopting a pet, Doggy/Moggy of the Week will feature animals from volunteer shelters, animal rescue groups, foster care providers, and pet owners needing to rehome animals. This week’s wabbit, Myrtle, is from ICVS’ Adoptable Pets.
Name: Happy Easter everyone, I’m Myrtle.
Background: My owner must leave China urgently and cannot take me with them to the UK on such short notice.
Personality: I am a very friendly indoor bunny and I’m comfortable living in a large cage or indoor balcony space where I can hop and play. I am quite playful and interactive and like throwing balls and keys around. I like being petted, having my nose rubbed and laying on my side and back. I keep myself entertained by having things to chew on. I am healthy and have a good diet of timothy hay, daily fresh veggies and occasional treats (slices of apple, pear, banana). I prefer drinking out a water bowl instead of a water bottle. I am not a cuddly bunny but is a lot of fun!
Ideal home: I am sociable and friendly, used to having company during most of the day and I would make a great companion for other rabbits.
Sex & Age: A young, 2.5 year old spayed female rabbit.
Medical notes: Myrtle sees the vets at ICVS and they can attest to her good health. ICVS will also offer 50% discounts on her examinations during her first year of adoption with her new family. Her vets can provide lots of advice on rabbit healthcare, nutrition and caring for bunnies.
Extras: The current owner can also provide a large cage, cat carrier, her toys and bowls, litter tray, hay, food as part of the adoption.
