Here at beijingkids, we’re pretty big fans of EAST Beijing Executive Chef Rob Cunningham. He has appeared in our cooking column Food for Thought with both of his kids, Sachi and Taj, and was featured last year in our Chef Papa series. Not only does he know his stuff, he’s also affable and modest in person. If you’ve ever wanted to take a cooking class with him, you’re in luck; on March 25, Cunningham will lead a workshop for charity with all proceeds going to United Foundation for China’s Health (UFCH).
Taking place at Le Kids in Lido, the class runs from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Under Chef Cunningham’s tutelage, participants will learn make (and eat) a three-course Italian dinner with a starter salad, mushroom risotto, and desert. The workshop is limited to 12 to 20 participants per class and registration is required.
Proceeds from the event will benefit UFCH’s Wheels for Life Community Health Van, a mobile clinic that will provide breast cancer and cervical cancer screenings to women in need and care for orphans and migrant kids. The project is scheduled to launch this spring.
