Change for Life

Making an Impact

Before beginning the Middle School chapter of their lives, 5th graders at ISB embark on their final social studies unit of the year: Impact. With the enduring understanding that “individuals make decisions and act in ways that impact others and the world,” these students seek to take action and make a positive impact.

"Change For Life" -- Changing Lives

In our expat community, we are fortunate to be exposed to many different charity groups with which we can join or support. All have commendable causes near and dear to their hearts, and it’s touching to see how their work literally changes lives.

“Change For Life,” one of these fantastic charity groups, cordially invites you to attend the inspirational art exhibition “Paintings for Life,” from November 7-20 at the French Institute.  With more than 20 paintings created by hearing impaired children of Qinghai Province, this exhibit will conclude with a charity auction event held on the last day.  The exhibit offers an opportunity to have the creative and talented children show their works and have their voices heard, in spite of the distance that separates a big city like Beijing from the villages of Qinghai Province. Money raised will allow Change For Life to provide hearing aids for these children, as well as improvements for their school.
