I need major help with advice I have been dating my girlfriend for some time now , whom I meet in Beijing also she is of foreign nationality studying in Beijing, Chinese language she has just become pregnant still in early stage, but problem I have just before we realized she was pregnant as I knew she had Chinese medical insurance and not worth paper its written on, I planned to move her onto my insurance cover plan with Nordic General now they rejected maternity cover as they believe that’s why I was making the application at that point she was two weeks pregnant, therefore I notifed them of state once we found out just over one month into pregnancy. The other issue is that her current insurance as just found out does not cover materiality as typical from Chinese insurance they believe students should not have time to get pregnant but should only be concerned with studies! Last issue from searching nearly all Chinese insurance don’t provide cover if woman is unmarried FFS! Also I have been trying to find costs if need to pay for the birth at Beijing hospital! Of course we could return to my home country for birth but would prefer to stay in Beijing! I would like some advice and what options are available to me, many thanks for your kind support…
