Pantry Magic's website proclaims August as the return date for Beijing

Best news I've heard all day: Pantry Magic, the high-end kitchen equipment retailer chain that called Nali Patio its Beijing home for several years before closing up shop earlier this year, will reopen August 1 in the Gongti-area building that houses Counting Sheep Boutique and the Bodhi Therapeutic Retreat.

It will be a welcome return for this international retailer of premium imported kitchen goodies. Over its years of operation in Beijing I've personally picked up such choice hard-to-find gear as holiday cookie cutters and latex baking pans, as well as spent many an afternoon longing after even fancier stuff that's beyond what my tiny apartment kitchen could accommodate.
