Shunyi Happenings: Expo Center Traffic Woes

Another convention at the International Exposition Center means that there is insane traffic in our area. Just driving home is a nightmare, not to mention going to and from schools or attempting to park at Euro Plaza. Today I saw traffic gridlock with two lanes--out of three--completely blocked by parked taxis waiting for expo patrons. I am sure there is a logical explanation (!), but can someone tell me why expo attendees are not forced to use the ginormous parking lot that is actually AT the Expo Center?!

Three weeks off of scheduled school activities can be a great thing, just to relax and enjoy some down time. If you’re a kid, however, sometimes you want to be active and go, go, go. So, if your family is staying in Beijing during winter break, take advantage of some great winter camps and special workshops in Shunyi.
