YCIS celebrates ground breaking of second school in Yizhuang

Yew Chung International School (YCIS) has been a part of the Beijing community since 1995, originally founded in Hong Kong in 1932 incorporating ideas from Asia and the West, the school is part of a larger network with branch campuses in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Chongqing, Qingdao and Silicon Valley in the United States. YCIS offers IGCSE for year’s 10-11 and the International Baccalaureate Diploma program (IBDP) for the last two years of secondary school.

Two YCIS students, Michelle Lam and Anthony Guo, have received the "Top in the World" International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) award from Cambridge International Education (CIE), an internationally recognized academic qualification for students from the ages of 14-16.
Grade 11 (Year 12 student) Michelle, who was in Grade 10 (Year 11) at the time of the test, had the highest score in the world for First Language Chinese and Anthony (who is in the same grade level) scored the highest worldwide for Additional Mathematics - no small feat considering the amount of competition they both faced globally.
