Congratulations to Dulwich College Beijing! They have been named British International School of the year for 2011, as a part of the Independent School Awards. Having fulfilled the criteria of “being an inspirational school based outside of the UK that espouses a British education and that has made a strategic or financial achievement of note,” Dulwich College Beijing also highlights their student efforts made with local migrant schools in Beijing. The school embraces an ongoing program to make contributions to these communities through student exchanges, field trips and fundraisers.

I donned the only suit I owned last Thursday, May 12 to go hobnob at the third annual Women in Business Leadership Awards. As the champagne flowed, Beijing's most powerful business women shared ideas and business cards over fillet mignon. A few of them even took home a chunky trophy to add to their crystal collections.
