Charity Bazaar for Japan

The Belgian Embassy will be putting on a charity bazaar for Japan this Saturday, March 26th. This is a family event with all proceeds going to the Japanese Red Cross.
There will be dancing, traditional music, origami lessons and Japanese food. Events commence at 10am and finish at 4pm. You can show up whenever you'd like and stay as long as you want, as there will be multiple performances and food will be served throughout.

Chinese New Year is just around the corner, and with it the international schools will have a week holiday. Seems like we were just on break, doesn’t it? At least there is still plenty to do!

The New Craze…Bollywood!

Guests at the River Garden Christmas party were in for a treat this year with many entertainment sets performing throughout the night. One in particular was the Bollywood Dancers, 15 women dressed up to wow the crowd with lively dancing to Indian music. Myself, I had never heard of this particular kind of dancing, so I was in for a surprise to see that I personally knew about half of the group of women already. I was intrigued to learn more about it, which I did from the teacher and one of her students.
