Unfortunately, new renovations at Hefangkou and continuing work at Simatai are hampering choice, but there are plenty of other options in and around Beijing where you can stretch your legs, whether you want a piece of the Wall (so to speak) or simply want to expand your horizons.

Good afternoon, burger fans. We're happy to inform you that The Beijinger Burger Cup is now underway on our sister site thebeijinger.com. What does that mean? It means that we're opening up the floor to you to decide what the best burger in the city is. We've taken the winners (and losers, in case you disagreed) of our recent Burger Wars series and pitted them - and eight wildcards that The Beijinger foodie Tom didn't get a chance to eat before he had to go to meat rehab - against each other to see who will win the Golden Burger come the end of the month.
