The best present I received was my first car from my parents. The best present I gave to my husband - I gave a birth to our son.

Re: Midweek Giveaway: Win Tickets to Santa On Ice!
Well, this year promises to be one of the best since our little toddler is now big enough to understand the concept of giving (and he “gets” the idea of Santa). However, our Christmas three years ago will still count near the top of the list. We have a college-age friend who grew up in the outskirts and never really had any exposure to Christmas until she arrived in the big, glamorous city of Beijing. Struck us as odd, but the shock wears off quickly after you dig into her upbringing and learn that she had grown up for the most part without a television at home or other exposure to the commercial-ness that we often see nowadays. We shared a brief story and old crinkly photos from my skit at church when I was a child (I was paired with Joseph and Mary...thanks mom for saving those pics!) and we gave her a wonderfully wrapped present of her own that year. Best wrapping and bow I’ve ever managed to put together – would be hard to beat! Took her some time to get into the idea of Christmas, but she came around. Memorable. And I hope she visits us and our little boy this year.
