Midweek Giveaway is here for the coming year of Dragon!  This week we are giving away a box of Nian Gao from Novotel Beijing Xinqiao.

The box includes, as you can see in the above photo, a cute fish made by Nian Gao, a Yuan Bao to wish you good year luck of finance and some Chinese sweeties.

I will start with mine. My awesome Chinese New Year would be lots of Hongbaos (red envelopes full of money), no hassle with the train to go back to my hometown and food and sleeps all the time!

For me and my child, it would have to include 24 hours of annoyingly-loud, ear-numbing fireworks. This is not allowed in our home country, so this type of celebration is a true delight. Anything less in Beijing would be a disappointment.
