Opened by a young French butcher of the old school, this artisanal shop and restaurant has gained a wide following with its selection of high-grade beef, veal, lamb, and pork (50-110 RMB per kg). Patrons also recommend the pates, sausages (including merguez) and Parisian-style hams. Freshly roasted chicken, quiches, frozen dishes such as coq au vin, as well as a range of well priced French wines are also for sale. The small French restaurant upstairs delivers the same meat, now cooked, in a cozy checkered-tablecloth setting or, in season, on the curbside patio.
