Relocasia

First, I was overcharged based on their quote. Second, they told me 2-3 months and after six I still don't have my stuff. and lastly, their american partner went bankrupt (they say) and they have passed ALL of the expenses they incurred on to their customers. They have not paid a single cent of the costs incurred by their partner! Which means they are holding my belongings (which I already paid in full to have delivered) RANSOM until I pay for demurrage, per diem AND to hire a new shipping company to deliver the goods. in total that is an additional 1151 USD, which is literally almost what I paid to begin with. DO NOT USE RELOCASIA!

Our shipment with Relocasia started well but was left in a storage warehouse in Guangzhou rather than being sent onto our new home. Our shipment was packed in Shenzhen in early June. We expected to receive it in mid-August. We had great difficulty getting ahold of anyone at the company, and it took days to find out our shipment hadn't been sent. It was finally sent in mid-September (a full month after we should have received it!) and arrived to us at the beginning of November. We also had to pay 'peak season' shipping charges and storage charges. Not to mention, when packing our shipment, we were told that they had 'mis-estimated' the size, and we might have to pay premiums to take all of our belongings with us. We are still waiting to hear about insurance payments on the 3 items damaged. I would not only refuse to recommend Relocasia for a move, I would actively discourage it

A friend had recommended this company and I have to admit that it was a really refreshing experience. The packers spoke English and my contact in Relocasia had actually lived in the same town I was moving back to!

Got a bunch of quotations from all the big name movers. These guys offered the same service, a better rate, and MUCH more personal attention. Utterly impressed.

I would just like to send a heartfelt thanks to Chris and Susan in the Relocasia Beijing office. They did such a fantastic job and took care of every detail. We have used a few packing services before Relocasia but have always felt that the others had been rather lacklustre... to say the least. The communication was excellent and I never felt like I had to ask for information. The packers on the day were really professional and everything just went so well. Cheers you two!!!

Just had a last minute move back to the UK and these guys did SUCH an awesome job. Great moving company and really professional service

I was forced to relocate back home to the States when my position was made redundant. I have lived in Asia for almost 12 years. My wife and I have a collected furniture and other pieces over that time and we decided to bring it all back with us. I contacted Relocasia along with five other companies and they responded quickly. The manager himself came out to for a consultation. He was able to answer all of my questions and I really felt like he understood the situation. We got an official quotation within two days.

On the day the packers were great. They spoke English and the manager came out again to make sure everything was going well! Relocasia cleared everything through customs perfectly. I'm happy to report that all my goods are back in the States, in perfect condition. Use these guys if you have the chance.

These guys know what they're doing.

I called in over 8 moving companies before making my decision. Relocasia was the only one that made a great impression. They sent the area manager out to personally answer my questions, he gave me his direct mobile number, and he was flexible with every aspect of my move. This company offers better service and higher value for money than any other moving company I've experienced.

Do yourself a favor, call these guys first.

Its really nice and was so comfortable dealing with the people in the company. They made the whole move simple and helped me a lot.

When ever I had a problem or something confusing they explained it clearly.

Yikes! Stay away from this company! They are excellent until the second they get your money, which you are required to pay in full before delivery. As soon as you pony up the cash, communication from the company stops. Company is unresponsive, slow to return emails, and completely unapologetic for some of the worst service I've ever had. My delivery was literally 5 months late, and I got no refund, no apology, and no one had the slightest interest in returning my phone calls.

I've never had a more worrisome moving experience in my life, and I move countries frequently.

Apparently, I'm not the only one! If you look around online, you'll find that every other forum review for these people is negative, with complaints from everything from ruining entire shipments to suppressing paperwork in order to incur additional customs fees.

Wish I'd spent a good deal more time on Google before I entrusted these people with everything I own.

Avoid at all costs.
