The first Satuday in November is the Children’s Day in Africa. For each month, we will present 1-2 special events relates to holidays or culture all around the world. Students will be introduced to the culture in Africa in terms of Art, Music and fun face paint time. Through out these 3 workshops, students will gain basic knowledge about African culture in a way they cannot learn from books.

Childhood is not a time for limitations. Childhood is a time for choices. We need adults to remember to respect and honor that, and pack away our preconceived notions of what boys and girls can and cannot do. In childhood, they should be able to do it all.

This dance workshop is a great opportunity for the children to get much needed exposure not only to the fundamnetals of the different African dance styles but also its a chance for them to experience part of the different cultures from Africa, delivered in a fun-filled environment and sorrounded by their peers.
