The Lion, The Witch And The WardrobeDuring the World War ll bombings of London, four English siblings are sent to a country house where they will be safe. Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie are sent to Professor Kirke. The children are playing hide and seek and Lucy finds an enormous wardrobe. Lucy steps inside and finds herself in a strange, snowy wood. Lucy encounters the Faun Mr. Tumnus, who is surprised to meet a human girl.
Lucy exits Narnia and eagerly tells her siblings about her adventures in the wardrobe. They do not believe her, however. Lucy’s siblings insist that Lucy was only gone for seconds and not for hours as she claims. When the Pevensie children look in the back of the wardrobe they see it as an ordinary piece of furniture. Edmund teases Lucy mercilessly about her imaginary country until he discovers for himself when he goes through the wardrobe.
Edmund meets the White Witch. The White Witch introduces herself to Edmund as the Queen of Narnia. The White Witch feeds Edmund enchanted Turkish Delight, which gives Edmund an insatiable desire for the dessert. The Witch uses Edmund’s greed and gluttony to convince Edmund to bring back his siblings to meet her.
When the White Witch exits, Edmund meets the rest of his siblings in Narnia. Peter his angry at Edmund and scolds him. Lucy wants to introduce them all to Mr. Tumnus. Sadly he has disappeared.
As the children are searching for Mr. Tumnus they encounter a distraught Mrs. Beaver, who is also searching for Mr. Tumnus. Mrs. Beaver introduces the children to all her animal friends. Afterwards, Aslan appears.
