I'm not particularly religious but I loved the tradition of advent calendars when I was young. I'd love to get one for my kid (preferably not an overly religious one).
Anyone see any for sale in Beijing?

Found one. April Gourmet sells a no-frills advent calendar with small chocolates behind each window ... a rip-off at 45 kuai but it beats 29.95 shipping from North America and the likelihood that it will arrive on December 26 ...

though it's a bit late for this year, saw some cool advent calendars (one was cloth with small pockets for toys) and aother was a wooden case with 24 tiny drawers -- on sale at the supermarket in the basement of the Pacific Century Place
