Re: american-sino ob/gyn hospital

my Finnish friend had a lovely natural (unmedicated) birth at Am-Sino a month or two ago, and had a very good experience there.

Re: american-sino ob/gyn hospital

I have a friend who gave birth at American-sino hospital last Septemer as it was closer to her home. She got a real good experience there, she was the only one in OB Gyn department for delivery and she said the service was 5 stars one : everybody just for her!
On the language point of view, I do not have any informations but I know she is fluent in chinese so it was not a problem for her.
If you pm me you e-mail address maybe I can ask her if she is OK to contact you for further details and give your e-mail to her.

Re: american-sino ob/gyn hospital

we had a reasonable experience with our first baby at Amcare but like the fact that you have the choice to deliver in the room and it's quieter at American-Sino. We had a good experience there. They have good English speaking doctors and English speaking midwife there now.

Re: american-sino ob/gyn hospital

Thanks for the update Youlliam - how did you find the standard of service and care there overall? Would you recommend it to others?

We plan on having a second (someday) and would definitely consider other options from where we had our first (Peking Medical Union)

Any feedback would be appreciated!

Re: american-sino ob/gyn hospital

HI,
I had good experience overall, and that time my friend recommended it as well as had, as someone mentioned 5 star service just for her...happened to me too, that time it was me and another mom, i had like 5 people on my care, they did speak english, I had professor Gai, administration was very helpful with all the paper work and contacting my insurance and stuff..
again, even though i ended up with c-section after 41 weeks of pregnancy, i wasnt pressured on c-section as i know a lot of people have stories on that...i did my research and wanted to do it my way, i was allowed till the end as didnt have any complications. the problem was that my baby who is my first, was 4,5 kgs (very big), and after very long and painful labor, i think i just have given up myself as couldnt stand the pain anymore (2 sleepless nights and no painkillers helped).
Though you see, again, I think each person's case is different, someone mentioned to me recently that they had some "problems" with administration or something...i think it can happen as at any other hospitals; we are all different, with different needs so for me it was all fine!
I did check Amcare that time as well but somehow just didnt have that feeling that this is it, this is the place i want to have my baby at...it was all big, with a lot of people, answers from administration were unclear, and many doctors, and they were not sure that exactly same doctor can be at delivery and they recommended translation but i just decided to choose another hospital...but again...so many had great experience there...
hope i made some sense Smile
