Wing Chun, a martial art from southern China, emerged long ago throughout the provinces of Guangdong and Fujian. The style was first conceived by Yan San Niang, who is thought to have named the martial art after her native Yong Chun County in Fujian. The name may also have come from a person surnamed Yan with the given name Yong Chun. In the local dialect, "Yong Chun" is pronounced "Wing Chun".
Wing Chun Kung Fu is a 21st-century fighting science, the treasured result of Master Wong Shun Leung's lifelong dedication to the practice and development of the style. It is a modern scientific theory of physical training and unarmed close-range combat between two practitioners. Because it is a uniquely fierce form of actual combat, it was once forbidden and practiced only behind closed doors, but it grew extremely popular in Hong Kong, Macau, and various parts of Europe and North America. Wing Chun schools began to appear one after the other, especially following the rise of superstar Bruce Lee, who had astonished the world with the great power of Wing Chun boxing. The armed forces of the United States, Great Britain and Germany view Wing Chun as a vital combat skill for soldiers to learn. In addition, the practice of Wing Chun offers superior exercise and physical health.

Our company formally promotes Wing Chun Kung Fu within China. Beginning in 2009, Master. Wang Zhi Peng has established the Beijing Huangpu Institute of Wing Chun in coordination with Beijing Huangpu University, and has founded Beijing Sheng Long Wing Chun Cultural Development Co., Ltd., which is the first school in China to specialize in the teaching of Wing Chun. Our mission is to spread the practice of Wing Chun to all parts of China, to promote it throughout the world, to increase the understanding of this martial art among all people, to train and practice, to develop its distinctive quality and style, and to endow the practitioner with the independence to serve as his or her own master. We hold to these standards to raise appreciation for traditional Chinese culture, as Bruce Lee has done worldwide.
