School for my 1.5 year old in CBD
Can anyone tell me some of the smaller schools in the area? I know about the big ones like Eton and Ivy, but I know there are more around that are much smaller. I know there is one at Blue Castle (Lan Bao), but I cannot find it anywhere! So any information would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Re: School for my 1.5 year old in CBD
Hi,
When my daughter was younger she used to go to the BSB Foundation Stage school in Sanlitun. The school is very small and cosy as it is detached from the primary school campus. There are a number of primary schools in the down town area but it depends if your looking for an english or chinese one, and unfortunately i dont know very much about the Chinese schools.
Hope this helps

You might also check out the Family Learning House, this is where my daughter goes. I think the enrollment is about 100. Lots of attention, toddler classes have 3 teachers for classrooms that do not exceed 15 children.

My Gym is more of a play center with classes (that parents & kids attend together) than a normal school, it focuses more on helping kids with their physical development in a early age. my 3-year-old daughter goes there every Tuesday afternoon for one hour after her regular kindergarten, it's a great way to get all her energy out while having fun. It's like a Gym for kids with training classes.

If you're looking for a Chinese-language environment, I've heard good things about the YCIS (Yew Chung International School) kindergarten program (starting from 6 months to 5 years-old). They have 2 teachers (one Western and one Chinese) in every class. Also, it's a UK-based program...if that helps you with your decision.
