Question: Is live Caricature less popular in Beijing?

Hi Everyone,

I am a caricature artist from Canada, and have been doing caricatures for a few years now, while honing my animation skills. Currently, I'm working at a game studio full-time in Beijing.

I tried googling for live caricaturists and agencies here in Beijing, but i dont know whether it's because i cannot read Chinese well, or if there are actually none of these services available, but my searches are coming up empty. Is it that much less popular here for people to hire caricaturists for live events compared to North America?

Anyway, i'd like some insight into this... perhaps the style of caricature is different compared to north america?

Take a few moments to answer the poll too!

At any rate, I would still like to get involved in events and parties so if anyone knows anyone who may have an event coming up, do give me a shout. For more of my art check out my blog and website.

Cheers, i look forward to hearing what people think of caricature in Beijing.

It's not popular to hire caricaturists for live events in Beijing. Infact caricaturists are rather rare sights around here...
