Top 12 Apps for your Christmas iPad

The Lorax – Dr. Seuss has to be a favorite in any household and while the offering from Oceanhouse Media is increasingly comprehensive, my children and I still turn to this app when we feel like a good bedtime read that reinforces our values and ideas about what we want fr this world.

Fotobabble – This is a great little app that allows you to create “talking photos” by recording over the top of any chosen photo. My younger son loves it and I have had a great time making up stories around particular photos for him to open and discover when he has his turn on the Family iPad.

Peekaboo Barn – The Peekaboo series from Night and Day Studios has helped to set the standard early for expectations around producing quality applications for young children. I have seen this app used in a wide range of contexts and every toddler I see play with it lights up at the images and sounds.
