Share Your Birthing Experience

Share Your Birthing Experience

BeijingKids is looking for people to share some short comments on their birthing experience at different hospitals and birthing facilities around town, including:

Beijing Oriental-American Sino Hospital
Amcare
Beijing United Family Hospital
Peking Medical Union Hospital
St. Mary's
Wuzhou Women's Hospital

We are looking for just a few general comments on your experience with prenatal, birthing and/or post-natal care at the hospital.

For example:

"We had our second child by c-section at XXX Hospital and found the prenatal care to be sufficient, but a bit overcrowded on appointment days. Otherwise, the facilities seemed clean and our doctor was very accommodating. The post-natal feeding courses were also helpful ..."

Submitters will be quoted and credited by name or alias (if you prefer) and the quotes (just a few sentences each will suffice) will appear as a part of our October issue cover feature.

If you are interested in having your say, please e-mail editor -at- beijing-kids.com.

Thanks!

Re: Share Your Birthing Experience

Hi borkow, here's a link to our October 2011 issue, which was all about giving birth in Beijing: http://www.beijing-kids.com/blog/pandaroo/2011/10/09/October-Issue-Hits-...

At the bottom of the post, you can download the issue for free. There's plenty of information on local hospitals (p52), finding an ayi, and what to expect during your pregnancy. There are some parent testimonials in there as well.

Beijing Mamas is also a great resource. It's a Yahoo group that's open to all parents and parents-to-be. It's free to sign up, and the members tend to offer very candid responses to any question: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Beijing_Mamas/?tab=s

I hope this helps. Good luck!
