Looking for a local petting farm

I fondly recall a school trip that I took as a youngster to a petting farm. Would love to give my child this same experience, but don't know where to go. Anyone have suggestions? Doesn't have to be a farm with an ark full of animals, but it should be one with a reasonable stock. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I think your best bet is to visit one of the organic farms, the one I think might be the best is God's Grace Organic farm out in the Southwest.

@Batfink, thank you for the suggestion. I'll investigate this one further. Have you been? Want to avoid traveling far out to one of these, like I did at another, only to find that they call 3 cows, a few chickens, and a duck a petting farm.

Hi Coco-nuts,

Does it have to involve "petting" persay? Crab Island has an interesting zoo. There's an ostrich and a camel. Can't say they're well taken care of, but it was interesting to see.
