Nursery 0-1 year
Hallo,
we have a daughter Ella, born July 30 2011 (6 months now), and there is a great chance that we might come to Beijing mid of 2012 (Q3/Q4). Thus, we are looking for day care from the morning until at least 4 or 5pm.
Can you recommend any daycare facility?
Kerstin

Not sure you can find a day care for baby at this age. Most of the parents here hire a nanny to look after him. If you know, will be great to know. But not that I'm aware at the moment. Even in Hongkong, it is not popular. However, I noticed that baby can be admitted to day care when even before 6 months in Europe. Good luck

I believe the British School now offers a drop-off program starting from 1 year old (Shunyi location I believe).

They are available (depending on the area you will choose to reside), but I can't say that I'd recommend them. In many cases, the daycare facilities are overworked and your child may not receive the type of care you would have accepted. I'm not saying that they are bad - just that you may have higher standards. Your best bet is to try to identify a suitable nanny who could either care for your child at your own home or at the nanny's home (dropoff). The cost of the nanny would even out with the daycare facilities and services.
