Beijing No. 55 High School is a municipal key school in Beijing. In 1975, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Beijing municipal government opened the International Students Section to accept foreign students. In 1994, our International Students Section was approved by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and became an IB World School. At present, the school has developed substantially within the framework of the IB Asia Pacific region. Our school has also been a Chinese language (HSK) testing center for a long time. The school has adopted the IB and Chinese National Curriculum for foreign students; with this multicultural background, Beijing No.55 provides students with a variety of classes and extracurricular courses designed for each student’s age, gender, ability, and language skills, so that they become active, creative, and responsible global citizens.
