For nearly two decades, the heartbeat of Beijing’s expat family community has been amplified by one trusted source: jingkids. Since our founding in 2006, our mission has been steadfast: to connect, inform and support families navigating the vibrant, ever-changing life in China’s capital. We are more than just a publication; we are a community hub, built by you and for you.
At the core of that hub is our events calendar. It’s where parents find weekend adventures, holiday workshops, school fairs and cultural outings. It’s where your ballet recital finds its audience, your weekend market finds its shoppers, and your family-friendly festival finds its crowd.
If you’re hosting something wonderful, we want to help you share it. Here’s your simple guide to getting your event featured.
We welcome submissions for any event that brings value to expat families and the wider community in Beijing. Think family-friendly and community-oriented.
Here’s how to submit:
1. Visit www.thebeijinger.com and click “Events.”

2. Click on “Start here” on the right-hand side column.

3. Then, follow the steps and submit the information we need.

4. Finally, confirm that you’re at least 18 years old and click save.

That’s it!
So, if you’ve worked hard to organize something great – a class, a sale, a festival, a meet-up – don’t let it go unnoticed. Share it with us, and let us share it with Beijing.
We publish family-friendly events every Wednesday. Be sure to join the Jingkids Events group on WeChat to be amongst the first to find out what’s happening in the city. Add Wilhelmina87 on WeChat to be added.
