In August 2017, the Swiss School Beijing opened its doors as the German language section of the Western Academy Beijing. It is the first school in China to combine a German language education, a multicultural environment, and Swiss excellence. The Swiss education system is built on the pedagogical principles of J.H. Pestalozzi, a Swiss pioneer in modern education, and provides a solid foundation for life-long learning. It is also one of the main reasons for Switzerland’s present-day ranking as the most innovative country worldwide. The Swiss School Beijing is supported by the Swiss government.
