• Writing engaging and informative articles about family-friendly events, activities, venues and services in Shunyi and beyond
• Taking high-quality photos and videos to accompany your articles
• Posting regularly on our social media platforms and interacting with our followers
• Attending our monthly editorial meetings and pitching new ideas
• Representing Jingkids International at various events and networking with our partners and clients, mostly in northeast Chaoyang / Shunyi District

This is a flexible and rewarding position that can be done part-time or more, depending on your availability and interest. You will have the freedom to work from home or anywhere you like, as long as you meet the deadlines and quality standards. After a decade of living in Beijing, my family and I will be moving in a few short months to Henan Province for different career opportunities.

While I’m excited about our new adventure, I’m heartbroken about having to leave my position as managing editor of jingkids. This has been the most amazing job, and the team that I get to work with every day is made up of some of the most down-to-Earth friends I’ve ever had.

Copy editors will also be responsible for instilling standards of journalistic professionalism in staff editors by providing critiques during editing.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree with a major in English, journalism, or a related field, and at least two years of relevant work experience.

This Saturday between 9am and 4pm, True Run Media (the parent company of the Beijinger, beijingkids, and JingKids) will be attending the 2014 Job Fair for Foreigners at Swissotel to in order to meet prospective employees (both locals and expats) and explain to the community a little more about our goals and what we would like to achieve in the future.
