But it is crucial to do so safely. Learning to become a proficient swimmer also opens up the doors to a range of other fun summertime activities like kayaking, surfing, and scuba diving. Here is a selection of swimming camps and courses for kids with various levels of expertise. Find out which one is best for your children.</p>

<p><strong>DragonFire Summer Master Swim Camp at WAB,  Aug 8 – 12</strong></p>
<p>Grade 1-12. The sessions will be conducted by two professional coaches, Elliot Ptasnik from the United States, and Don Watson-Brown from Australia. Both coaches have coached national teams, and bring an international perspective on swimming and training. There will be three different camps for different grades and levels, from beginner to competitive standard. Video review, and stroke technique for all four strokes plus starts or turns, will be included in the three camps.</p>

<p>Ages 4+. Aimed at enriching students’ summer vacation, Aqua Warriors Summer Swim Camp is designed to improve beginners and competitive swimmers, and realize potential. The camp will focus on developing technique and enhance physical stamina, as well as optimizing turns and starts using video analysis.</p>

<p>Ages 4-14. Water Cube Swimming Club&#8217;s coaching team has made specific plans for this summer&#8217;s swim classes for children of different ages and levels. Aimed at the problems caused by lack of training, the classes will improve technique in a range of areas. Kids can choose classes from beginners and intermediate to competitive level, and learn techniques for breaststroke and freestyle.</p>

<p>Jun 26-Aug 6. Three excellent coaches, M.D. Salauddin, Ya Ping, and Amy Xu will lead the Dragonfire swim camp this summer. These coaches also come from around the world, bringing an international perspective on swimming and training. The coaches are bilingual in English and Chinese. Choose from the options of Baby Swim, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced classes. Private beginner and intermediate one-on-one lessons are also offered.
