Though farther out than its Sanlitun counterpart, Green T. House Living is set in a picturesque Asian garden of white gravel. The calm, serene interior is a vision of white, echoing Chinese designs of both old and new. Dishes are fusion foods from East to West, all of which have at least one ingredient in common: tea. The Green T. Satisfaction (pictured here, RMB 106) is an Asian take on risotto; it melts in your mouth with a savory creamy flavor. Also enticing is the Jasmine T. Beijing Duck (RMB 126). Kids will love slurping up Green T. Cha Soba Noodles (RMB 86), while parents tantalize their taste buds with the Green T. Wasabi Prawns Dancing to Mango Salsa (RMB 138). Finish off the meal with Tea Ice Cream (RMB 168); flavors include green tea, jasmine tea, sesame, and black tea. For the inquisitive, tea workshops are held every Saturday (free for a limited time). In addition to a restaurant, Green T. House Living has a Tang Dynasty-style bathhouse. Treat yourself to a green tea bath, a terrace jacuzzi, and a French-inspired massage. There is even overnight accommodation in luxurious beds for those who can’t tear themselves away. Whether you’re looking to pamper your spouse, kids, or yourself, coming here is an indulgent treat.
