The French International School of Beijing (LFIPékin) 北京法国国际学校

The French International School of Beijing (LFIPékin) was established in 1965 and is regarded as a prestigious international school. It is part of a network of 580 schools catering to more than 392,000 students in 139 countries, offering primary through secondary education on a spacious and eco-friendly campus. A distinctive attribute of LFIPékin is the caliber of its teaching faculty and educational Excellence, a standard that is endorsed by the accreditation substantiated by the French Ministry of Education. The accreditation ensures educational continuity not only within the network of schools in the 139 countries where they are situated but also with France itself, a distinction unparalleled by any other education system.

The LFIPékin is characterized by a cosmopolitan and international atmosphere, in part due to its multicultural student body, which is comprised of 57 different nationalities. The curriculum, set by the French Ministry of Education, is characterized by its flexibility and alignment with the high standards of the French national curriculum. Multilingualism is a central pillar of the educational program, with an emphasis on fostering creativity, critical thinking, and international awareness, thereby preparing the Leaders of tomorrow.
As a true international school in Beijing, the institution offers a variety of curriculum options, including both French and International streams. These options are available to students from the moment they begin their studies (Grade 1) and are designed to empower them to select their own educational trajectory, leading to graduation and subsequently to the building of a successful future. The school focuses on the provision of excellence for all students through a well-rounded education, including sports, culture and the arts, innovative language-learning methods, and high-quality teaching.

The LFIPékin is a multicultural and diverse school with a strong emphasis on three distinct academic streams, namely French, French/Chinese, and French/English bilingualism:
• French Stream: It is vital that students are compelled to adhere to the French national curriculum, which commences in Nursery and culminates in the attainment of French Baccalauréat. (Grade 12).
• International English Stream: students from Grade 1 follow a program based on the English National Curriculum (Oxford International AQA Examinations). This program culminates in the academically-enhanced International French Baccalaureate (BFI) specializing in English language.
• International Chinese Stream: students from Grade 1 follow a program based on the Chinese National Curriculum. This program culminates in the academically-enhanced International French Baccalaureate (BFI) specializing in Chinese language.

Graduates are awarded the French Baccalaureate Diploma or International French Baccalaureate (BFI), enabling them to progress to prestigious preparatory programs. These courses are designed to facilitate admission to Grandes Écoles or universities across a range of prestigious institutions, including those in France, Canada, the UK, the US, Asia, and China.
