If you’re looking for the opportunity to step up your skills in events coordination, we’ve got something for you.
Beijingkids and our sister magazine Jingkids are looking for volunteers for the 2018 Beijing International School Expo (BISE), the city’s largest marketplace for families seeking the ideal education for their children. Here, you’ll get to experience one of the year’s biggest educational events and have a chance to work with True Run Media, the parent company of our magazine as well as The Beijinger, the city’s best expat lifestyle media.
As volunteers, you’ll help our team carry out simple site arrangements, material distributions, on-site registration, and guidance, to name a few. BISE will be held on the third floor of Renaissance Hotel on Jan 13-14 (Sat-Sun).
Everyone is welcome to join us, especially students with working knowledge of English and Chinese. But why, you might ask, would you want to volunteer?
Here’s the catch: We might be the coolest team that you will work with! Our team is composed of young and vibrant marketing and sales staff, experienced journalists and editors, hippy parents (we have a DJ dad and a chef mom), and more! More than that, you’ll get to know how a large educational event is done, practice your oral communication skills, meet internationally minded people and families, and get a globally recognized volunteer certificate for your university or job prospects.
The volunteering times are as follows:
– Jan 12 (Fri): 3-8pm – pre-event preparations and logistics/ingress
– Jan 13-14 (Sat-Sun): 8.30am-5pm.
Volunteers will be paid RMB 100 per day and lunch will be provided on Jan 13-14.
We will wait for you guys! Email us now at firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
