Founded in 2017, Beijing Chaoyang Kaiwen Academy (CKWA) is a K-12 full-time bilingual IBDP World School situated on a 14.14 hectare campus in the Chaoyang District, offering: modern, state-of-the-art facilities for all disciplines of academic study, quality boarding for students and faculty, and a vast range of athletic and arts facilities ranging from ice hockey to football, to contemporary music and performing arts facilities. Curriculum description: CKWA is accredited by Cambridge Assessment International Education (2018), Pearson BTEC (2019), and IB (2020). CKWA runs a bilingual dual curriculum program in its Primary and Lower Secondary schools, integrating both the Chinese National Curriculum and the CAIE curriculum, and a rigorous international program in its school, where students can choose to study in their Scholastic Track pursuing IGCSE courses and exams and then either A-Levels or IBDP courses leading to the IBDP – diploma, both of which prepare their students for the top US and UK universities. Or students may study in their Talent Track where they can specialize in CKWA’s uniquely tailored Kaiwen Art and Kaiwen Music programs specifically designed to meet admission requirements for tertiary education in Arts/Music and Music Conservatories.

After-school activities: Primary school students have 18 classes of STEM, arts, and sports activities every week. These feature program classes are embedded into the regular schedule.
