Nestled in a tranquil Hutong courtyard in the old town of Beijing, Little Pace endeavors to create a natural, personal, and international-local experience for little dwellers between 2.5 – 6 years old. They offer the smallest class in town where genuine friendship and bonding are reinforced among all members of the group. As a member school of the American Montessori Society (AMS), they transcribe the international curriculum into a traditional Chinese homeschool setting where both the hundred-year-old house and the small private yard are a workspace for students to explore. When the weather is good, the children can come in and out freely to enjoy the peaceful yard and get close to nature. Little Pace understands that early childhood education is more about influencing the initial cognitive formation of the self and the world through everyday experience than just passing on specific knowledge and facts.
