Maximum class size is 12 students. Intensive lessons specifically designed for ESL students allow for confidence and skill to be developed simultaneously in listening, speaking, reading and writing. For middle school students, an intensive writing course is offered in place of a regular language class. Extra Activities are provided too. Each class will have PE once each week and one field trip will be taken during the course. Lessons will be planned around this activity to ensure opportunity to learn relevant vocabulary. Students at appropriate grade levels will be involved in writing about their experiences. All students must undergo testing on July 1st.

Note: Additional to the Early Registration discount offered above, returning students who introduce a friend to the summer school will receive a further RMB 200 discount per student for up to two new fee paying students introduced to the English Language Summer School. On offer is a mixture of language/academic learning and sports activities and excursions, with both a Chinese language summer camp program and an English language summer camp program available. The course content is being revised at the moment to make it more academically rigorous and to put a heavier focus on sports activities too, but the format will be the same as last year – with morning academics and afternoon activities plus weekly excursions. Last year, BIBS Summer Camp had 6 classes with around 10-15 students in each. Students are separated into classes depending upon their language abilities and their age. School bus services can be arranged if needed (at an additional cost), lunch is included and any fees to enter venues at excursions are included.
