3e International School, since its founding by the Jonathan KS Choi Foundation in August 2005, has grown into one of the leading bilingual international schools in Beijing, providing a world-class education for children in Nursery through Elementary. Through a research-based dual-language immersion program developed especially for this education model, the school focuses on the whole child, aiming to develop “creative thinkers and collaborative learners who are able to move respectfully and appreciatively across cultures”. Classes are conducted in a balance of English and Chinese with equal time devoted to each language.

The goal is to empower children to explore, experiment and express themselves in a nurturing school environment that is balanced appropriately between child-initiated and teacher-directed experiences. Social competence and an appreciation of other cultures are also important components of 3e curriculum and instruction.
